  • Clearwater condo fire displaces 25 residents, injures 3 firefighters (FL) August 28, 2018 A fire early Tuesday morning forced 25 residents from their homes at a Clearwater condo complex.  The fire broke out around 3:16 a.m. at the Imperial Cove Condominiums on the Bay located at 19029 U.S. Highway 19.  Smoke and flames were coming from the roof over four condos when firefighters arrived. Firefighters believe the air conditioning units on the roof started the fire.     Read the article………………

  • Colony demolition delayed (FL) August 27, 2018 One more week. According to Town Officials and Unicorp President Chuck Whittall, the demolition of the dilapidated Colony Beach & Tennis Resort is delayed one week as the final contract is executed.   Whittall said that additional paperwork due to mold, asbestos and lead remediation must be completed and that will happen early next week.    Read the article………………

In 2017 the Board of Directors adopted rules allowing boat lifts to be installed with canopies on the boat docks. Now: Prison and $3 million restitution (FL) August 21, 2018 A Coral Springs man who started the fire that caused millions of dollars in damage to a condo complex, killed three cats and displaced dozens of residents will be spending five years in federal prison.  Nathan Counts, 40, has also been ordered to pay $3 million in restitution for starting the Feb. 12 blaze that damaged 28 units at the Ramblewood East condominiums on the 4100 block of Northwest 88th Avenue.    Read the article………………
